Plans revealed for two new Manchester towers
Property firms Bruntwood and Select Property Group have launched a second joint venture in Manchester to deliver two build-to-rent towers comprising 506 apartments.
The two buildings, set to operate under Select’s Affinity Living banner, will be located on the New Bailey Street footpath linking Spinningfields with Blackfriars Street, near the Lowry Hotel on the banks of the River Irwell.
Affinity Living Riverview, a 33-storey tower, will offer 318 apartments, while Affinity Living Riverside will house 188.
In addition to private dining rooms and social lounge areas, the plans outline a gym and co-working spaces. The taller of the two buildings, meanwhile, will feature a rooftop garden, private entertainment space and media room.
Bruntwood property director Peter Crowther commented: “We’re delighted to be working with Select Property Group again on this exciting project.
“The addition of high-quality residential apartments to our established office and retail campus at Riverside will create a truly vibrant, 24/7 mixed-use community.”
The latest project follows Bruntwood and Select’s work on Circle Square, their scheme on the former BBC site in the city centre.
Select Property Group’s CEO, Mark Stott, said: “With a shared vision for customer service excellence, we’re looking forward to working with Bruntwood once more to transform this fantastic riverside location into a residential community which redefines the standards for build-to-rent.”
If planning consent is secured, on-site enabling works will begin in October 2016.
