Solar PV panels are a sound business investment
Despite a reduction in the amount the government pays for generating solar electricity, farmers and businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire can still drastically reduce their energy costs and a free breakfast seminar will explain why.
Indeed, the region’s leading solar PV panel installation firm says that investment in solar panels still offers a sound return on investment.
Martin Bleasby of Beverley-based Discover Energy, said: “Investing in solar PV panels will reduce energy costs and help the farm or business establish their ‘green’ credentials.
“That’s why we are holding a free seminar to explain the benefits of solar energy for firms in Hull and East Yorkshire and why they should install solar panels to boost their profitability.”
Free seminar at the popular tourist destination The Deep
Discover Energy is holding its free seminar at The Deep’s Business Centre where the firm has installed 299 solar panels and which have led to the charity significantly reducing its energy costs and boosting its green credentials.
Discover Energy staged a seminar at The Deep last year that was well attended and delegates are being urged to sign up as quickly as possible to ensure they will be able to attend on Wednesday 2nd March.
The agenda for the free Discover Energy breakfast seminar in Hull will cover:
- The journey so far with solar PV
- Future electricity supply and requirements
- A smart choice - a new concept to approach a solar PV installation
- Knowledge is key - a bespoke solution
- On the horizon - an add-on for existing solar PV installations
- One year on - we review the solar PV installation at The Deep
Delegates will also be informed of the current situation of obtaining grid connections and for those firms and farmers who already have a solar PV panel installation there is information on how they can boost its productivity and profitability.
Mr Bleasby added: “There’s no doubt that solar panels are still a viable investment for farmers and companies which will generate electricity for years to come and we will be explaining that panels will work in just about any weather condition and not just in bright sunshine, as many people believe.”
The free breakfast seminar begins at 9am and will end at 12pm; for more information, visit the discoverenergy.co.uk website to register for a place or call Beth Howe on (01377) 219066.
