Development sees housebuilder invest over £800,000 in Selby

Local housebuilder Barratt Homes has demonstrated its on-going commitment to the Selby area this month, with the announcement that it will be investing £808,276 in the local community as part of the development of the new Barley Fields site in Barlby.

The investment has seen Barratt Homes contribute £598,244 for the provision of education facilities at Barlby Community Primary School. In addition, Barratt Homes has also contributed £200,000 for further provision and improvements to existing health facilities, with another £9,282 dedicated for the provision of new recycling facilities.

Sharon Hyde, Sales Manager at Barratt Homes, commented: “At Barratt Homes we are committed to ensuring we invest in the communities in which we build, and that our new homes benefit the entire community, not just those who live in them. Our Barley Fields development is no exception, and it is our aim for the local community to feel the benefit of this development for many years to come. We understand that our homes need to be an extension of the already excellent community of Selby, and we believe these contributions, along with continued plans to support the community, will help us to achieve this goal.”

Barley Fields will provide a selection of 1-4 bedroom homes in the highly sought after village of Barlby. To find out more about the development and to register your interest, go to http://www.barratthomes.co.uk.
