Online Shopping Comes To The High Street

STOCKTON SHOPPERS now have a self-service delivery location enabling them to pick up their parcels when they want thanks to the Amazon lockers based in the Castlegate Shopping Centre.

Waiting at home for deliveries can be frustrating and time consuming for consumers, with ambiguous delivery times and the inevitability of being stuck inside all day just two of the common worries surrounding shopping deliveries.

Amazon Lockers are set to provide a handy alternative, though, with the Stockton-based shopping centre the latest to welcome the innovation.

Instead of delivering a parcel to a home address, shoppers can select Castlegate Shopping Centre as an Amazon Locker location and pick up their parcel at a time that’s convenient.

Karen Eve, Centre Manager, said: “The lockers are so simple and easy to use. These days people are so busy there isn’t always a convenient time to organise a delivery, the Amazon Lockers provide an innovative alternative to fit the mobile lifestyle of today and it helps drive people into the centre too.”

Karen explained that once your parcel is delivered to the Amazon Locker, you will receive an email or text with a unique code. All you need to do is enter the code or scan the barcode from the email and follow the instructions on the screen.

Amazon Lockers are located on the ground level next to the exit to the Castlegate car park, and are available 24/7.
