Winns back local charity for second year running

Winns are thrilled to announce that we will be sponsoring the Sunshine Fund in the 2016 Great North Run, for the second year running. The local charity will be taking part in one of the North East’s biggest fundraising events to help raise money for disabled and seriously ill children in our region.

Last year saw our very own Adam Robinson and Mick Davis complete the 13.1 mile run in impressive times, while raising money for an excellent cause. This year we hope to continue the success and raise even more money to help provide hundreds of children with the specialist equipment they need to improve their quality of life.

As a long-time advocate of the charity, we’re helping to source volunteers to run for ‘Team Sunshine’ in this years race, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday 11th September.

You will receive a Team Sunshine running vest and benefit from the fantastic hospitality tent at the end of the run where you can meet your friends and family and enjoy the refreshments on offer. You can even enjoy a complimentary sports massage to help relieve you of those aches and pains once you cross the finish line – we’ll be there to cheer you on every step of the way.
