Further growth on the way for IT Specialists
Team growth and new appointment to spearhead nationwide expansion
IT Specialists, a nationwide managed IT services provider with its head office in Northfield, Birmingham, is looking forward to growth in 2016 since expanding and upskilling its UK team in late 2015.
The IT Specialists team now stands at over 200 people spread over three offices in Birmingham, London and Lutterworth. It is part of global IT software and services provider Reynolds and Reynolds, a firm that employs over 4,300 people worldwide.
As businesses increasingly outsource their technology requirements, ITS has boosted its team with newly hired helpdesk engineers and Yusuf Ukaye, who was brought on to increase sales of ITS’ business continuity and disaster recovery services.
Yusuf has joined the company as a business development specialist targeting businesses in both the Midlands, where he is based, and across the UK. He brings expertise in IT and disaster recovery, including mobile site recovery skills and crisis management expertise, to his new role within ITS.
As well as the new hires, existing ITS field engineers have benefitted from new certifications that expand expertise on specific technologies from IBM, Dell, Lenovo and NetApp.
Yusuf will be responsible for advising clients on services that will ensure that their businesses continue to run in the event of a natural or manmade disaster. He will be promoting ITS’ recently launched off-site data vaulting and disaster recovery as a service solution, BlackVault Managed Recovery Platform, and private cloud platform, BlackCloud®.
Yusuf explains that “businesses are handling an ever-growing amount of data, and any loss of this critical information can be catastrophic. We have witnessed an increase in companies wanting services that minimise the risk of data loss and can restore data quickly if a disaster occurs. I am looking forward to introducing IT Specialists and our services across the UK.”
Matt Kingswood, UK head of IT Specialists, concludes: “We are continuing to grow, and this has already resulted in the creation of jobs at our office in Birmingham and relocation to larger premises in Lutterworth. We have some exciting plans for 2016, with new products, services and partners on the horizon.”
