SweetTree named 35th best company to work for

SweetTree Home Care Services, which supports people to live independently at home, has been highlighted as one of the country’s top employers, after being named the 35th best company to work for by the Sunday Times.

Now in its 16th year, the Sunday Times Best Companies league table recognises ‘the cream of Britain’s happy and motivated workforces’. SweetTree has been ranked 35th, beating off stiff competition from over 1,000 businesses and organisations that were put forward for this year’s list. It was the only domiciliary care provider to feature.

All the rankings are based entirely on employee feedback and factors looked at include leadership and management, wellbeing, personal growth, pay and benefits. SweetTree’s employees highly rated the way the company supports their own growth and say they believe the organisation is making a difference in the world. Of all the organisations listed, the company also received the 2nd highest score for training overall.

With offices in central London and Richmond, SweetTree provides support at home for individuals with a wide range of care needs. Services include care for those experiencing age related frailty and more specialist programmes for those with dementia, mental health related illness, learning disabilities, brain injuries, neurological conditions and palliative care needs.

Demand for the company’s specialist services has seen its team swell to in excess of 500 employees, including carers, support workers and office-based staff. Placing great emphasis on training, the company was the first home care provider in the UK to achieve a highly regarded AIM Awards Quality Mark for its in-house training programmes. It is also recognised as an Investors in People Gold Standard company.
