TLJ installs locking system at Burley Manor

Burley Manor, a former manor house in the heart of the New Forest, has installed TLJ’s key card locking system to help secure its rooms and provide easy access to guests.

TLJ, a Yorkshire-based supplier of smart security technologies to the accommodation industry, has supplied and fitted 30 TLJ Identity units and 40 TLJ Classic units – both in polished chrome – on doors at the historic hotel.

Burley Manor, a Grade II Listed building dating back to 1852, was recently named as one of the UK’s Top Ten Cosiest Hotels for 2016 in a travel survey and underwent a £1.8m refurbishment in 2015.

“TLJ Identity is popular with architectural ironmongers and often sought for luxury accommodation,” says Luke Martin, managing director at TLJ. “In a successful two-phase project, we fitted TLJ locks at the stunning Burley Manor and because our locks are held in stock, the lead time was very fast.”

According to TLJ, its Classic key card lock, available in both polished chrome and polished gold finishes, is chosen regularly within castles and traditional country manors as it offers the benefits of modern key card technology whilst maintaining a classical theme.
