Wetherby’s Keepsake Construction wins £2m contact for new homes scheme in Ripon
Yorkshire’s Advent Developments has appointed Wetherby-based Keepsake Construction as the main contractor to build a £2m new homes scheme in Ripon.
Work is now underway to build eight, three and four bedroom homes on Wheatsheaf Close, which is just one mile from Ripon’s City Centre.
Located just off Harrogate Road, the new homes will benefit from an easily accessible location, schools and services nearby. Prices are expected to start from from £200k.
Tim Reeve from Advent Developments said: “We specialise in high quality developments in sought-after areas and pride ourselves on finding attractive locations like this one, which is ideal for a small scheme of standout homes in a very popular area.
“Keepsake Construction has a superb reputation throughout North Yorkshire for their exceptional standards of workmanship, which made them the ideal company for this development and we’re delighted to see work get underway.”
Keith Smart, managing director of Keepsake, added: “We are delighted to be working with Advent Developments in creating high quality houses on this development. We have a real passion for building great homes and our team of experts will ensure that Ripon has a new development to be proud of.”
Ripon agent Dacre Son & Hartley is marketing the properties.
Andrew Skelton, Dacre Son & Hartley’s sales manager, commented: “A lot of buyers are attracted to Ripon for the excellent schools and amenities. The Cathedral City boasts plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarkets as well as a cinema and all of the local services you would expect to have access to.
“Average house prices in Ripon were up by over 2% in 2015 and there are only two other new homes developments underway in the City. Both of these are on a small scale and in a higher price bracket, so there is a real shortage of quality homes like these which have a very realistic and attractive price tag.
“The fact that Advent Developments has a strong reputation and proven track-record in Yorkshire for delivering stylish high quality residential schemes also adds to the appeal of the development.”
Advent Developments recently created 38 homes in York at Bootham Green, and also transformed a former school in Rothwell into 14 unique new homes. The company is currently working on an £8m new homes development, known as Greenhill Fold, that will see a former school in Upper Wortley transformed into 49 village homes.
