Winners revealed in the AGR Development Awards

The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) has announced the winners of its annual Development Awards, which recognise and reward organisations committed to training and developing early talent.

After picking up the accolade for the programme that is best aligned with an organisation’s strategic goals, Fujitsu went on to be crowned overall winner. The judges – a panel of learning and development professionals - commended Fujitsu for its innovative programme of activities as well as its thorough approach to evaluation.

The winners were announced at the AGR Development Conference in London, which saw more than 200 hundred leaders from business and higher education gather for an expert line-up of speakers on all areas of early talent development.

  • Best Strategic Alignment - Fujitsu
  • Best Graduate Induction - Civil Service Fast Stream
  • Best Preparation for Work Initiative - University of Leicester
  • Best Preparation for Work Strategy - University of Birmingham
  • Best Supplier Contribution - The Smarty Train
  • Learning Professional of the Year - Emma Lyon, Head of Learning & Development at Cavendish Nuclear

Stephen Isherwood, Chief Executive at the AGR said: “This is only the third time that we have run the Development Awards and its fantastic to see excitement and momentum already growing year after year. Successful development programmes are not just those that nurture graduates to be the best they can be, but that are aligned with organisational goals and business success. We had an extremely high caliber of entries this year. Congratulations to all of the winners.”
