Employee wellbeing startup utilised by Bloomberg acquired by Reward Gateway

Yomp, the employee wellbeing platform utilised by the likes of Bloomberg and Halfords, has been acquired by employee engagement company Reward Gateway for an undisclosed sum.

The wellbeing startup, which is based in Soho, London, encourages employee physical activity through gamification and behavioural economics on its platform. Employees can form teams and set challenges, winning rewards or charitable donations for their efforts.

Reward Gateway, a £150m Software as a Service (SaaS) company, has been making moves into the health and wellbeing sector recently, capped off with the addition of LA Fitness veteran Lucy Tallick to the team last November.

Tallick, who is now Head of Smart Health at Reward Gateway, commented: “We’re delighted that Ry and the team from Yomp have agreed to join us. They’ve got great product vision that we share, huge passion for employee health and it’s a fantastic fit with our own wellbeing plans. Our own product plans are advanced in this area and there’s a great synergy.”

As part of the deal, Yomp’s founder Ry Morgan will join the company as Head of Wellbeing Technology, while Chief Technology Officer, Pascal Gessati, will become Principle Engineer.

Morgan added: “Lucy has an amazing roadmap for workplace wellbeing and I’m ecstatic to be a part of it. Yomp has huge ambitions within this sector and given Reward Gateway’s incredible team, culture and knowledge it is the perfect place to achieve that.”
