Leeds business in Sunday Times Top 3
A Leeds motoring group has been named one of the top three companies to work for by The Sunday Times for the second year running.
Sytner Volkswagen Leeds’ parent company, Sytner Group, retained second spot in the Sunday Times’ Top 25 and has now been placed in the top five for seven consecutive years.
The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For is an annual survey and ranking of the best of Britain’s employers - data is gathered and analysed from anonymous surveys taken by staff.
The group was also presented with the coveted ‘Three Star’ award for the third year running, which recognises workplace engagement and is defined from employee’s responses to questions in the survey.
Founded in 1968 by the former British Touring Car champion Frank Sytner and his brother Alan, Sytner Group represents 19 prestige car manufacturers in over 100 retailers across the UK, employing more than 6,000 people.
John Steele, brand manager at Sytner Volkswagen Leeds, said: “The awards really highlight what a fantastic company this is to work for.
“The progression and training opportunities are second to none and we really believe as a business that offering initiatives for employees results in a better service and experience for our customers.”
Darren Edwards, group managing director at Sytner Group, said: “I want to congratulate and thank all the teams for making Sytner the best and most consistent Best Big Company to Work For in the UK.
“Retaining second place is a fantastic achievement - no other Best Big Company has shown such a consistently high level of scores or retained a top five position for the seventh year in succession.”
Sytner Volkswagen Leeds, on Elland Road, offers a full range of new and approved used car sales as well as comprehensive after-sales servicing using genuine Volkswagen parts.
