UD Group steps up generation management

UD Group, the transformational software provider for the energy and utilities sector, has launched its new software solution UD gen; a virtual energy production manager.

Primarily aimed at the renewable generation sector, but also applicable across the wider embedded generation sector, UD gen allows users to manage and monitor energy generation and income within a user-friendly and intuitive platform. With access to current market performance data, the system enables improved budgeting, forecasting and statement accuracy.

Steve Armitage, managing director of UD Group, explains further: “We believe that managing energy needs should be simple, efficient and intuitive. UD gen is applicable across different energy generation sources, including wind, solar, hydro and biomass, among others. It will produce a range of graphs, value stacks, reports and statements that provide a detailed break-down of the value components of energy production, including wholesale power and energy system benefits, ROCs and Feed-In-Tariffs. This information can then be mapped against daily, weekly, monthly and yearly performance.
