Derby County Announce Partnership Agreement With Roberts Bakery
Roberts Bakery has become Derby County’s latest proud partner after signing a one-year partnership agreement with the club.
The partnership will see Roberts Bakery advertise their brand on Derby’s LED advertising assets around the iPro Stadium, while they have also taken up the sponsorship of Derby’s Community Holidays Club as part of an ongoing programme of fan and community engagement activity.
The relationship kicked off at Derby’s Sky Bet Championship fixture at home to Huddersfield Town last weekend.
Roberts Bakery, a family business, knows a thing or two about baking bread. That’s because they’ve been making fresh, fluffy loaves, baked to perfection since 1887.
Roberts Bakery has grown from humble beginnings as a grocery store, which sold freshly baked bread to the residents of Northwich in the heart of Cheshire. Today the company is renowned for quality, delivering over 3.5 million loaves of fresh baked bread, bread rolls and teacakes to customers right across the North of England, North Wales and the Midlands.
Derby County’s President & Chief Executive Sam Rush said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Roberts Bakery on board as a club partner and we’re looking forward to working closely with them over the coming year. We have been impressed with their values and community work - and believe that this relationship has the potential to be a successful one.”
Robert Higginson, Chairman of Frank Roberts and Sons Ltd, said: “Following much previous investment across Central region, we hope that our sponsorship deal with Derby County brings our brand to life amongst this football loving community and gives us long term presence.
“Derby shares so many of our values – they are a family-friendly club that places emphasis on future generations, health and wellbeing. We are proud to be a partner and hope that the sponsorship – paired with the growing popularity of our bread products across the region – will further reinforce our position as the UK’s fastest-growing major bread brand.”
