Winsford medical manufacturer AMS delivers year of profit growth
Surgical and wound care product manufacturer Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc (AMS) achieved profit and revenue growth in 2015 despite “challenging currency conditions”.
In the 12 months to December 31, Cheshire-based AMS’ profit before tax rose year on year by 12% to reach £17m, while its adjusted operating profit likewise by grew 12%, at £17.4m.
AMS’ revenue also increased last year, rising by 9% at £68.6m, which is an increase of more than £5m.
Commenting on the results, Chris Meredith, the chief executive officer at AMS, said 2015 represented “another strong year of growth” for the Winsford firm.
He said: “[We] are pleased to report that all of our business units are performing well despite some challenging currency conditions.
“The growth in the US has been markedly strong for AMS where the performance and range of our LiquiBand tissue adhesives, in particular, is driving market share gains.
Mr Meredith continued: “We have also been pleased with the number of new product approvals we have achieved this year, demonstrating the continuing success of our innovation and we are confident that, with our strong R&D pipeline, we will continue to deliver growth.”
