Stockport logistics firm Progressive 3PL to create 20 jobs

North West logistics business Progressive 3PL Limited has relocated to a larger base in Bredbury, near Stockport, after seeing its turnover almost triple in the last 12 months.

With £75k backing from the Royal Bank of Scotland, Progressive 3PL has moved into a 23,500 sq ft unit on Castlehill Industrial Estate and expects to create around 20 new jobs over the coming year.

Between 2014 and 2015, the firm’s turnover has increased by close to 180%, rising from £720k to just over £2m.

Jay Dhokia, Progressive 3PL’s managing director, said: “This move is a crucial step for the company and will enable us to continue to expand rapidly without worrying about our capacity to take on new contracts.

“Our business has gone from strength to strength during the last three years and we have developed excellent relationships with our clients and suppliers.”

He continued: We plan to continue to drive business growth forward and are now looking at opening hubs in key ports overseas.

“We have already opened a depot in New Jersey, USA and are in the process of finding a suitable base on the West Coast, USA.”

Founded in 2013, today Progressive 3PL employs a team of 18.

RBS relationship manager Lee Thompson commented: “Progressive 3PL has a very promising future; it has achieved rapid growth since it was established and is run by a very dynamic team.

“I am pleased that we have been able to support Progressive 3PL with their expansion and look forward to continue to work alongside the business in the future.”
