The Yorkshire Meatball Co crowdfunding campaign on track for £100k target
After launching a crowdfunding campaign at the start of March, The Yorkshire Meatball Co. has announced that it is on target to meet the £100k goal by the end of this month.
The campaign has so far raised just under £40k, equating to 40% of the overall funding target.
The Yorkshire Meatball Co., which has restaurants in Harrogate and York, is planning to launch a range of premium-branded retail products in supermarkets across the country as well as add a further two restaurants to its portfolio.
The business will also extend the dining space and incorporate a bottle shop, beer cellar and terrace garden at its original Harrogate restaurant.
So, with 14 days left to go before the campaign ends, co-founders, David and Gareth Atkinson, have shares an update on the investment so far and how the next two weeks will unfold.
David Atkinson said: “We are exactly where we planned to be at this stage in the campaign. It is gaining huge interest from potential investors of varying sizes, with more than 6,700 pitch views on Crowdcude and over 90 business plans requested.
“We continue to generate positive conversations with a variety of highly influential potential stakeholders from within the hospitality, retail and other industries. A number of investment pledges to date have been at £5k, which puts us in a strong position for further potential funding, as it shows the level of confidence that investors have in our ambitious growth plans.
“For the next two weeks, we remain committed to generating as much investment as possible in our bid to take The Yorkshire Meatball Co. to a wider audience and transforming it into a household name.”
