Numbers add up for training partnership

SOFTWARE experts are expanding their successful business into training.

Gateshead-based accounting and business process software specialists The Northern Path have set up an innovative new partnership with accreditation body AAT to provide training to new and existing clients.

Co-Founder of The Northern Path Jules Young-Hawley, who is one of only a handful of true Sage Manufacturing experts in the UK explained: “As software experts we deliver business solutions and

work closely with people in financial roles, but it is estimated 25% don’t have any formal accounting or book-keeping qualifications.

“Helping companies to understand what their software can really do for them can transform some businesses, and having a greater understanding of accounting would undoubtedly help them get more from their software.

“It seems a natural step for us to bridge this gap. We are already qualified AAT trainers and know Sage inside out because we steered its development for years. Our software development history, practical business experience and technical expertise is unique for a training provider.”

The AAT qualification training is available now and the Northern Path will be offering bite size courses on weekends as well as evenings. On-site training for companies that want to put a group of staff through a course will also be available.

“The AAT qualification is globally recognised and I did my own AAT qualifications on an evening when I was working full-time and a single parent. It kick-started my own career more than I could have imagined”, added Jules.

The Northern Path training programmes will also incorporate Cloud Accounting and practical sessions on Cloud software, which will be another first in the region.
