The North East Employee of the Year Awards
NORTH EAST EMPLOYEES GET THEIR CHANCE TO SHINE
This June sees the launch of the inaugural North East Employee of the Year Awards, an awards ceremony that recognises and celebrates the talent of employees across the region. Focusing on employee talent and launching in National Apprenticeship Week these awards will provide an opportunity for staff at all levels and apprentices to be recognized across the region. Companies are encouraged to be part of the prestigious regional awards programme and celebrate in style to give North East employees the recognition they deserve.
Employees themselves alongside Managers, Directors, Board Members and HR Professionals are encouraged to nominate staff colleagues who deserve this special acknowledgment or put forward those staff who have been recognised by internal company awards. Recognising many aspects of employee talent will be the highlight of the evening planned for 17th June and awards for such things as Unsung Hero or Outstanding service will celebrate the fantastic efforts of our North East employees.
The event was created by leading North East Event Management company, She’s Gott It!, following a number of requests from leading local businesses to host something that truly recognizes the talent of our regions employees and not just the business or business leaders themselves.
The awards have been given the support of Tesco Underwriting who have partnered with the event to celebrate and promote their values of real employee engagement. Tesco Underwriting state the company values were created by the people who work for them and therefore believe these awards are a great way of representing and describing what working at Tesco underwriting means. Additional sponsors include Sunderland College and George F. White who are both making positive strides in staff reward and recognition. The awards will be hosted by North East event management company She’s Gott it! and Managing Director Nickie Gott believes they will really add value to the region as there are no other award ceremonies that compare to these. She says, “a company’s success relies on its performance – the staff are the face of the business. Now is the time to celebrate their talent and recognise and reward their loyalty. Through these awards businesses can provide incentives to attend and be part of one of the North East’s biggest celebrations of the year. National Apprenticeship Week is an ideal time to put the focus on the talent we have in the region.”
Entries to the awards are open now and application forms can be downloaded from the website. To encourage as many entries as possible, entry is free and easy to do.
Along with the appointment of headline sponsor Tesco Underwriting, other well-known businesses in the region have already expressed an interest in backing the awards and sponsoring the event including NECC and Sunderland College.
The ceremony will take place on Friday 17 June in the Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall Hotel, Tees Valley. Tickets cost £65 plus VAT and can be purchased via the website.
