Haines Watts continues fundraising for Guide Dogs charity
Haines Watts Liverpool has embarked on a third year of fundraising for the Guide Dogs charity.
The award winning accountancy firm, which supports local businesses, raised more than £1500 in 2015 for Guide Dogs through fun, engaging activities and competitions.
Associate Director of Haines Watts Liverpool Vikki Wynne said: “We are thrilled to be supporting Guide Dogs for the third year running. In 2015, we sponsored and named a guide dog of our own, the aptly-named Watts, and have since watched him grow from a puppy into an invaluable trainee aid for a visually impaired person.
“Month on month, our team of more than 30 along with directors take part in regular fundraising activities such as office Bake Offs and our weekly Dress Down Fridays, during which our team members donate to the cause. This month, two of our brave team members will be participating in ’Uncle Sam’s Burger Challenge’ to raise sponsorship.“
Guide Dogs provides independence and freedom to thousands of blind and partially sighted people across the UK through the provision of guide dogs, mobility and other rehabilitation services.
Guide Dogs Engagement Officer, Penny Williams said: “We’ve had so much fun working with the Haines Watts team over the past few years, raising over £4,000, and we can’t wait to see what this year has in store. Hopefully, we will soon see another guide dog puppy join Watts thanks to the generosity of this team.“
Haines Watts, located on Victoria Street, specialises in advising and supporting business owners. It supports over 35,000 companies and business owners around the UK, which gives its clients access to a huge amount of expertise and knowledge.
