De Winter joins MIA to celebrate pioneering businesses
With the 21st Merseyside Innovation Awards underway, the competition has unveiled its latest sponsor – De Winter.
The PR and marketing agency will join the sponsor group, which selects each monthly winner, from its Liverpool base.
“We are incredibly proud to have become part of the MIA,” said De Winter managing director Kate Cox.
“Here at De Winter we don’t do dull. We are passionate about finding innovative solutions every day in our own work and we are really looking forward to helping identify and reward the most original thinkers and manufacturers in the region.”
The Merseyside Innovation Awards recognises innovation across all sectors, including manufacturing, service providers, digital and logistics.
This year it will give out two awards – One for businesses with a turnover of up to £1m, which includes a £10,000 prize, and a second for businesses between £1m and £25m turnover.
Alongside De Winter, the sponsor group includes MC Vanguard Corporate Finance, Unilever, Trustech, Brabners, Liverpool and Sefton Chambers of Commerce, Liverpool City Region LEP, Natwest, Insider Media, The University of Liverpool, Village Software, WP Thompson, The North West Fund, C-Tech Innovation and BBC Radio Merseyside.
Awards founder Brian McCann, partner and director of MC Vanguard Corporate Finance, was pleased to welcome the latest addition to the MIA family.
“We are all really excited to have De Winter join our sponsor group especially during such a milestone year,” he said. “We have been at the forefront of recognising and promoting innovation in Merseyside for more than two decades.
“A lot has changed in that time and it is vital that we constantly reflect that in our own approach. With De Winter on board we have added a sponsor with the same vision and passion for original ideas that we all share.”
