Metal finishing equipment supplier targets growth after reporting record year
Engineering Utilities, the supplier of metal finishing equipment and consumables, has announced growth plans for the year ahead after reporting its most successful year to date.
Based in Leeds, the company reported growth of 25% in 2015 when compared to the previous year.
As for 2016, the family-run firm has already seen a sales increase of 40% in January alone and reported its best ever month in February.
Spearheaded by the four Soulsby brothers, Engineering Utilities specialises in supplying industry-leading equipment and consumables for metal preparation, finishing and cleaning to a wide range of market sectors throughout the UK and Ireland.
The team often sources bespoke machines and equipment based on a customer’s specific requirements.
Nigel Soulsby, director of Engineering Utilities, said: “2015 was a brilliant year for us – to grow by 25% was a real achievement for the team here, especially since we operate in such a niche market. As well as reporting strong sales figures, we also grew our workforce by a quarter in 2015, which is something we’ll be increasing further over the coming months due to increased customer demand.
“The year ahead is set to be even more exciting for us, having just recorded our best January and February sales figures in the history of the company. We’ve already secured some really high-profile account wins over the last few weeks thanks to our exclusive licenses with a number of innovative products, and I look forward to driving the business forward with my three brothers to improve upon the success we’ve already experienced this year.”
The firm owns the exclusive rights to distribute a number of innovative products including Eisenblatter, Loewer, Boeck, NS Maquinas and the revolutionary TIG Brush in the UK and Ireland. The product has revolutionised the stainless steel finishing market, providing a quicker, safer and more powerful method of cleaning both TIG and MIG welds on stainless steel.
