Leeds shower tray manufacturer aims to expand with £1m investment
JT, the shower tray manufacturer, has made a £1m investment following a year of strong sales and growth.
The Leeds-based manufacturer has revealed plans for new manufacturing capital investment as well as staff training and a new apprenticeship scheme.
The record investment will strengthen the manufacturing capability and team skills, and create a state-of-the-art site that will deliver new products to the UK bathroom market.
The investment in technology, worth approximately £1m, will support planned new product development over the next 12 months and deliver a brand new product to meet customer specifications and demand.
Founded in 1988, JT now makes one in five shower trays for the UK.
Paul Crossley, managing director of JT, said: “This investment is the projection of our proud 26 year history and will not only build on our quality service to our customers, but also lead the market in design and innovation.
“We know the quality of our design and innovative features in our products have made JT a British manufacturing success and with this investment, we hope to exceed our customers’ expectations and really build on our position as the UK’s number one, not only for product and quality, but for service and efficiency.
“We have ambitious growth plans and this investment will support the ambition of our multi-skilled team.”
