Restaurateur Simone Remoli opens second Pasta Remoli in Finsbury Park
Stratford restaurant Pasta Remoli is to open a second restaurant in Finsbury Park and owner Simone Remoli already has his sights set on a third outlet.
Following on from the success of the restaurant’s first outlet at Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, which opened in 2011, the new premises at Clifton Terrace in Finsbury Park seats 55 diners and will see the creation of 18 new jobs.
Pasta Remoli allows customers to customise their own pasta dishes, selecting their pasta type, sauce and any extras.
Financial support for the Italian restaurant’s new venture came from Lloyds Bank, who provided a £160k loan along with a £30,000 asset finance facility which helped Remoli kit out the new restaurant’s kitchen.
Simone said: “Our Westfield restaurant grew popular very quickly and it wasn’t long before our loyal customers were asking us to open another one, so setting up the second was a natural next step for us.
“The support from Lloyds Bank was fundamental in enabling us to put our plans for expansion into action and we are grateful for the local team’s support. We are now setting our sights on opening a third branch next year.”
James Davies, relationship manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking in London, added: “Through his drive and ambition, Simone has made Pasta Remoli a real success and the opening of the Finsbury Park branch marks a pivotal moment in the company’s expansion.
“We are sure the new restaurant will be popular and we’re pleased to be able to support it.”
