The Home Company boosts team
Skipton’s long established furniture and furnishings store, The Home Company, has appointed a new sales consultant to support its continued growth.
Joyce Rickett joins the long serving sales team of Lina Lee and Michelle Swinscoe as a part-time sales consultant. She will work in the lifestyle store’s showrooms based in High Corn Mill.
Joyce, who has recently relocated from Canada with her husband, a native of the Dales, said:
“I am so pleased to have the opportunity to work with such a friendly and professional team. I have a real passion for interiors and am looking forward to helping customers create beautiful homes.”
Local businessman, property entrepreneur and owner of The Home Company, Andrew Mear, said: “We are delighted to welcome Joyce. The Home Company is a flourishing business thanks to the hard-work and determination of all the team and together we will continue to provide the very best service to all our customers.”
When Joyce isn’t spending all her time renovating her new home, she is an enthusiastic walker, especially with her dog Junior, a beautiful Hungarian vizsla.
The Home Company has thrived thanks to a belief in bringing together contemporary furniture and accessories that are practical, attractive and great value for money. The spacious show rooms allow the ranges to be displayed in an inspirational way so customers can pick up ideas for their own homes.
Andrew is the md of Eagerlux whose portfolio includes a selection of historic buildings across the region, including Skipton’s medieval High Corn Mill, www.highcornmill.co.uk Andrew is also chairman of Skipton Town Partnership.
Originally built in 1310 to mill Skipton’s corn, High Corn Mill today houses a number of retail, beauty and business tenants as well as the Waterwheel House, which features a 15 Kw crossflow water turbine, creating enough energy to power up to 20 homes around the local area via the National Grid.
