Local housebuilder reports record Part Exchange sales

Barratt Developments North East, which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, has reported a strong year of sales in the region due to increased popularity in its Part Exchange scheme. In a record year, the housebuilder has seen over 140 Part Exchange sales over the past 12 months, meaning it has bought and sold over 280 homes.

Two David Wilson Homes developments that have seen particular success are Grey Towers Village in Middlesbrough and Elba Park in Houghton-le-Spring, which have both seen 61% of total sales as a result of part exchanges.

The scheme sees an independent team provide valuations of homebuyers’ current properties in just seven-days, and then a price can be agreed with the Part Exchange team. Barratt Developments also offers a team of experts to provide practical advice on selling your home using the scheme.

The Part Exchange scheme has increased in popularity over the past 12 months and means that buyers are left with no Estate Agent fees at the end of the sale and no chain to slow down the moving process. By taking advantage of the Part Exchange scheme, buyers are able to move into their new Barratt property sooner than usual, stress and hassle free.
