Onyx Group shortlisted for prestigious European award

North East based IT infrastructure and support specialists Onyx Group have been shortlisted for the “Enterprise Solution of the Year” at the 2016 IT Europa Awards.

Now in its eighth year, IT Europa’s European IT & Software Excellence Awards recognises best practices in customer solutions by Systems Integrators, Solution VARs, MSPs and ISVs across Europe. The winners will be announced at a dinner being held at the Lancaster London Hotel on the 14th April 2016.

Shortlisted in the ‘Enterprise Solution of the Year’ category, in recognition of the project they implemented for Paris-based tolling giants Sanef Group, the award acknowledges IT providers who have delivered a service that has resulted in the transformation of the operations, processes or market strategy of their client.

CEO of Onyx Group, Neil Stephenson, highlighted the impact their solution architects have on customer’s businesses’ and praised the firms’ ability to manage large-scale IT projects: “I am absolutely delighted that we have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award. Onyx Group’s relationship with Sanef grew from the tolling company’s need to establish a new support centre in the North of England. Following a comprehensive review of the market, Sanef began to work alongside Onyx Group’s technical specialist’s to design and build a comprehensive IT infrastructure, hosted within Onyx Group’s ISO 27001 accredited Data Centre. With access to an onsite Workplace Recovery facility and industry leading Security controls in place, the project was recognised by IT Europa for delivering Sanef with the highest levels of uptime and availability.

Established in 1994, Onyx Group has grown from a regional IT company to a national technology provider with sites in the North East, London, Scotland and Yorkshire regions. The shortlisting for Onyx is the latest in a long-line of achievements, having been awarded both the “Managed Services provider of the year” and “Private Cloud Solution of the Year” at last year’s Kaseya and Unify award ceremonies.
