Exporting is GREAT Week comes to London

London-based companies are invited to attend a series of unique and informative export-focused events as part of UK Trade & Investment’s Exporting is GREAT Week.

The week will run from 18-22 April at venues across London and the events are designed to help companies build their understanding of exporting.

Explore Your Export Potential event, 9:30-15:00 on 19 April at Radisson Blu Edwardian, 9-13 Bloomsbury St, London WC1B 3QD Doing Business in China: Overcoming Language and Culture Barriers event, 9:00-14:00 on 21 April at London School of Economics, Houghton St, London WC2A 2AE A Masterclass event on Agents and Distributors, 9:00-15:30 on 22 April at Radisson Blu Edwardian, 9-13 Bloomsbury St, London WC1B 3QD

At each London event, experts will be on hand to provide advice and market insight to support businesses at every step on their exporting journey, from initial interest right through to selling their products in-market overseas. Main events will also be live-streamed on the UKTI London Twitter account (@UKTI_LondonSE) through Periscope.

Exporting is GREAT Week is part of the UK government’s ongoing drive to inspire and support 100,000 additional UK exporters to sell their goods and services overseas by 2020, and recent statistics show that exporting among London businesses increased by 12% during 2015, growing to the value of £32.5 billion.*

Commenting on the Exporting is GREAT Week, Parveen Thornhill, UKTI Regional Director for London, said:

“Your export journey begins right here in London. We have a series of events lined up to help London Companies understand how they can achieve growth through international trade.

“The knowledge and contacts you pick up this week will ensure you consider how to protect your intellectual property; overcome language and cultural barriers; and learn how to use technology and digital tools as part of your trade strategy.
