Canal Mills: exciting new event space in Leeds
Canal Mills, an arts, food and music space in Leeds, have announced that their multi-functional venue will be available for meetings and events.
On Tuesday 19 April from 5.30pm, Canal Mills will be launching their venue for conference and events hire. Having re-opened in 2012, the 18th Century textile mill in the heart of Leeds has been restored to its former glory after a sympathetic refurbishment project. Now a creative art, food and music events space, Canal Mills is a welcome addition to the city’s vibrant conference and events venues.
The launch event invites prospective delegates to experience the unbeatable setting in a relaxed and fun environment, providing the opportunity to explore the diverse and distinctive venue whilst enjoying complimentary food and drinks. The characterful and flexible space caters for a range of events including conferences and seminars through to weddings, corporate dinners and Christmas parties.
Canal Mills has set itself as the place of choice for product launches, conferences and exhibitions, as well as special occasions and wedding receptions. Since the opening in 2012, Canal Mills has had a number of high profile brands utilise the space for their events, including Spotify and Red Bull.
Situated just a ten minute car journey from Leeds Train Station, Canal Mills has a maximum capacity of 1,400 standing for a party night. The capacity for seating is 300 – 350 people, depending on the table set up, with the option of up to six street food vendors inside the venue. The impressive setting of red and gold Victorian brickwork, high ceilings and exposed beams providing a stunning backdrop for a number of occasions.
This constantly evolving space also caters for outdoor events, with a large area able to accommodate a marquee along with wooden decking and seating. The addition of up to 10 street food vendors in the outdoor space makes it a desirable option for clients looking to host summer BBQs in the city.
Matt Long, Venue & Events Manager, at Canal Mills commented:
“Having had four successful years as a music and arts venue, we are extremely excited to be in a position to offer our venue as a multi-purpose events space and want to welcome businesses in the local area to see what we have to offer. Our launch evening will give guests the opportunity to experience our unique setting and see how our venue can work for their conferences and events.”
