Martin-Brooks takes flat roofing road trip
Word is spreading about Martin-Brooks’ flat roofing skills, so much so, requests for the Sheffield-based firm’s services are coming from all four corners of mainland UK.
Specialist flat roofing teams have traversed the length and breadth of Britain to carry out work on a wide range of projects, from a residential development to retail outlets.
So far, the most northerly call for roofing repairs has come from a hotel chain in Inverness, where Martin-Brooks worked with main contractor, Quay Commercial, to clean off and upgrade a leaky felt roof.
Felt replacement was also required at a major bank in Penrith and a high street retailer in Ipswich, where new insulation and coverings were installed on behalf of respective main contractors, Styles and Wood and Simpsons, as part of wider schemes of renovation.
On the south coast, Martin-Brooks was asked by Redrow Homes to identify and address problems with a metal sheeted roof on an apartment block in Plymouth. Work was undertaken to improve joints, fixings and the outer coating to ensure a finish was achieved more suited to seaside conditions.
John Elmore, Martin-Brooks’ managing director, said: “Through a combination of repeat business, recommendation and competitive tendering, we are securing work, particularly flat roofing contracts, from across the UK. Each project presents a unique set of challenges, depending on the type of building, its location and use, which is why commercial clients not only value our advice on the right products and techniques required, but also our ability to react quickly and produce a high quality results.”
Martin-Brooks specialises in all types of flat roofing, from built up felt to sustainable technologies. For more information, telephone (0114) 244 7720 or visit www.martin-brooks.co.uk
