New 6,000 sq ft Revolución de Cuba bar and restaurant coming to Albert Dock
Bar operator Revolution Bars Group plc has revealed plans to boost its site portfolio with a number of new openings over the coming year.
Trading under the brands Revolution and Revolución de Cuba, the Lancashire-headquartered firm currently runs 60 bars across the UK.
Now, the firm is on the cusp of launching its first new bars of 2016, with one due to open at Liverpool’s Albert Dock, another in Stafford and the third in the centre of Reading.
Both the Liverpool and the Reading bars will be Revolución de Cuba sites, bringing the total number to 10 and expanding the brand’s geographic footprint. Revolution Bars Group has confirmed that the two venues will be food oriented, comprise more than 6,000 sq ft of space and offer outdoor trading areas.
Over the last six months, the firm opened Revolución de Cuba bars in Leeds, Milton Keynes and Nottingham.
The new Revolución de Cuba in Liverpool and Revolution in Stafford will open before the firm’s year end on June 30 2016, while the Reading site is set to launch this autumn.
Mark McQuater, Revolution Bars Group’s chief exec, said of the growth plans: “I am delighted to report our expansion plans are progressing.
“We are encouraged with the performance of the three new Revolución de Cuba bars opened in the first half in Milton Keynes, Leeds and Nottingham.”
He continued: “With two more bars scheduled to open prior to the year end and the first of our 2017 financial year new sites secured in Reading for later in 2016, our new site pipeline is strong and we remain confident of meeting our strategic growth targets.”
