LCCC Team Up With Spire Manchester Hospital

Lancashire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that Spire Manchester Hospital will be the Club’s Official Healthcare Partner and will sponsor their Specsavers County Championship kit for 2016 and 2017.

The Red Rose got their four-day campaign underway on Sunday 17 April when they took on Nottinghamshire at Emirates Old Trafford. Their return to the top flight of the Specsavers County Championship will see them wear the Spire Manchester Hospital logo on their shirts for the next two seasons.

Spire Manchester Hospital is part of Spire Healthcare, a network of 38 UK private hospitals, plus 12 clinics, two Specialist Care Centres and one elite sports training facility. Spire Manchester Hospital opened in Whalley Range in 1981 and prides itself in excellent patient care, innovative treatments and specialist consultants. Offering a wide range of surgical and non-surgical treatments, Spire Manchester Hospital and its outpatient clinic in Hale village look after patients from the Greater Manchester area and beyond.

In early 2017, Spire will open a brand new facility on the Princess Road in West Didsbury. Having invested £63 million in the development, the new hospital will be the flagship hospital within Spire Healthcare’s portfolio. The new Spire Manchester Hospital will be equipped to undertake a range of enhanced services utilising six laminar flow operating theatres, including a hybrid theatre which is capable of accommodating complex procedures. The theatre department will be supported by 71 day case and in-patient rooms and a five-bed ITU, staffed by specialised nurses.

Spire Manchester Hospital is proud to be a centre for Perform, Spire Healthcare’s expert division for elite sport performance training and injury rehabilitation. The Perform Centre houses specialist equipment such as the AlterG Anti-Gravity treadmill and the department at the new Didsbury hospital will also boast a 215 square foot hydrotherapy pool.

Spire Manchester Hospital will also have stadium branding for all matches including Lancashire Lightning’s NatWest T20 Blast campaign, the Investec Test match between England and Pakistan in July and September’s NatWest International T20 between both nations.
