Pop-up Star Wars bar coming to London

A Star Wars-themed restaurant is set to open its doors in London for 10 days this summer.

The minds behind dining experience firm Barrel and Forks will launch The Fork Awakens, a pop-up eatery inspired by the latest installment in the ongoing Star Wars saga.

Due to launch in July, the diner’s menu will feature meals and drinks styled after popular elements of the science fiction franchise, including ‘Tatooine Muddy Soup with Alderaan Olive Oil’ and ‘Mini Banthaburgers’ according to Barrel and Forks’ Instagram account.

In a report from The Drinks Business, the organisers said: “It is a period of culinary abundance: rebel spies have managed to steal secret recipes to the empire’s canteen and Aunt Beru, and take them to the Death star, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet.”

Further, Metro has reported that prospective diners will have to register for a unique ID to become a member of the Fork Alliance, while venue details will be disclosed two days before the event.

Last year, a similar pop-up bar concept launched in Manchester to coincide with a Star Wars convention and featured aspects of alien gangster Jabba The Hutt’s palace, the Ewok village from Return of the Jedi and the Dagobah swamp inhabited by Jedi master Yoda.
