Sports fashion firm JD to open 5,280 sq ft store at Stretford Mall
Sports fashion retailer JD is set to launch a new store in Stretford, Greater Manchester.
The firm is expanding its North West presence this summer with a new 5,280 sq ft shop at Stretford Mall.
The site’s centre manager, Gareth Wilkins, commented: “We’re delighted to be adding a retailer of JD’s calibre to our continually growing offering here at Stretford Mall.
“They have spent the last 35 years establishing themselves as market leaders, and our shoppers will soon have access to their range of limited edition and exclusive designs from top brands such as Adidas Originals and Nike.”
JD’s arrival will mark the beginning of a “prosperous” new chapter in the future of the centre, Gareth said. The retailer is just one of several preparing to open stores at the shopping and leisure complex in 2016.
Coffee chain Costa is due to launch a new site at the mall in May, while discount supermarket Aldi is opening a shop in the summer.
Gareth continued: “Work has also now finished on our extension programme, further improving the facilities here at the centre.
“Foodstore giant Aldi has also begun the work to fit out its new 16,500 sq ft supermarket - the first in the town - and we’re looking forward to an exciting and prosperous year to come.”
Earlier this month, JD reported double-digit profit and revenue growth for the year ending January 30.
