Leading housebuilder helps to spread Easter cheer
Miller Homes North East helped to bring smiles to the faces of disadvantaged and poorly children across the region thanks to the Miller Homes Easter Egg Drop.
The leading housebuilder collected over 450 Easter eggs to donate to Action for Children in Bedlington, the Sunshine Fund in Newcastle and Home Start in Teesside, thanks to donations from members of the community, as well as a contribution from Miller Homes.
Andrew Somerville, regional sales manager at Miller Homes North East, said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to the members of the community who were kind enough to donate as well as some of our subcontractors. We received some very generous contributions.
“We were overwhelmed by the fantastic response the Miller Homes Easter Egg Drop received and were thrilled to have collected over 450 Easter eggs for very worthy causes, providing a special Easter surprise for the children and families who benefit from their services.
Gill Physick, children’s services manager at Action for Children, said: “When so many parents already struggle to make their money last with everyday living costs, affording something extra such as Easter eggs and other gifts can be difficult, particularly in large families.
“Our families were absolutely delighted with the surprise delivery of Easter eggs from Miller Homes. It’s safe to say that the Easter bunny has been incredibly generous to our children’s centre this year so thank you!”
