The Wensleydale Creamery produces new two year deal with Yorkshire Cricket
The Wensleydale Creamery, producers of the Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese, has announced a two year contract extension to its official partnership with Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
The renewal deal will see the Yorkshire cheese-maker’s logo displayed on the County Championship winner’s shirts, supported by a package of branding rights at Headingley in all forms of cricket until 2018.
David Hartley, managing director of The Wensleydale Creamery, said: “Our successful partnership with Yorkshire County Cricket Club is a key platform for our brand promotion, both in the UK and internationally.
“We are immensely proud of our Yorkshire heritage, it’s at the heart of our business, and see this sponsorship as a perfect match for our brand.
“We are currently growing exports of our handcrafted cheeses around the world, including sales to the US, Europe and the Far East, and this extension of the partnership is key in reaffirming our brand’s iconic Yorkshire credentials as we look to expand further globally. We enjoy working with such a great Yorkshire sporting institution and look forward to further success both on and off the field.”
Andy Dawson, commercial director at Yorkshire County Cricket Club, added: “We are thrilled to extend our winning partnership with The Wensleydale Creamery, a real international brand that stands for Yorkshire success, authenticity and quality.
“They have really integrated their activity within our club and help to provide a fantastic ‘Yorkshire Welcome’ to our guests and spectators at Headingley.”
