Franco Manca expansion continues apace with two new London sites

Sourdough pizza brand Franco Manca has announced that it has secured two new London sites as it continues its expansion in the capital.

The sites, situated in Kentish Town and Kilburn, North London, will bring the total number of outlets of the pizza chain in the South East to 24 and follows the recent opening of a new restaurant in Guildford, Surrey.

The first property, located at 337 Kentish Town Road will feature space for 60 covers and comes in at approximately 2,200 sq ft, while the Kilburn site, also around 2,200 sq ft, will boast 85 covers.

Leisure property agency Shelley Sandzer, who specialise in new hospitality and leisure concepts, acted on behalf of the restaurant chain in both deals.

Franco Manca’s David Sykes commented: “Shelley Sandzer continues to find excellent sites for us and have become a trusted source of industry advice. We are very happy to have worked with them on our expansion plans so far and opened new locations in line with our strategy.

“Response to our new Guildford restaurant has been overwhelmingly positive and we can’t wait to invite people to Kentish Town and Kilburn later this year.”

Casey Phillips, Partner at Shelley Sandzer, believes the deal for the new restaurant in Kentish Town is indicative of the transformation of the area in just a few years.

He added: “Perception of Kentish Town has changed in just a few years and the location has been proven to have a strong daytime trade as well as evening. With the likes of Soho House, Knowhere Special, Ladies and Gents, Wahaca and Pret grabbing the cable tow, footfall and daytime trade has blossomed and Franco Manca will be in great company in this location.”
