International stationery brand heading to former Sister Ray Records site in Soho
UK stationer Paperchase is to open a new store in Soho, it has been announced.
The global stationery brand, which has over 130 stores across the UK, has taken up the new site at 34-35 Berwick Street on the former Sister Ray Records site.
The new 4,195 sq ft site is spread over ground floor and basement levels, and will stock Paperchase’s range of designer notebooks, greetings cards and other assorted stationery.
It joins 41 other Paperchase stores in the capital, but will be the first time the stationer has opened an outlet in the Soho district of London’s West End.
Former occupants, the iconic Sister Ray Records, vacated the site in Soho, moving across the street to a new outlet at 75 Berwick Street.
London property experts, Shelley Sandzer, acted on behalf of the private landlords in the deal, with Leo Feldman from the firm commenting that the deal underlines Sandzer’s ‘knowledge and prominence within Soho and Central London’.
The new Paperchase joins a number of other Shelley Sandzer secured deals in the area, including sourdough pizza chain Franco Manca who also have an outlet on Berwick Street.
