MP visits Ilkley-based digital marketing agency

Kris Hopkins, Member of Parliament for Keighley and Ilkley visited the offices of Ilkley-based digital marketing agency Bluehoop Digital recently. The company were keen to discuss Kris’ work with in the manufacturing sector - a growth area for Bluehoop Digital who helps manufacturing companies gain new business both in the UK and overseas.

Ian White, Director at Bluehoop Digital told Mr Hopkins that he is very keen to help local manufacturing companies expand their sales throughout the strong Leeds City Region and beyond: “We were very happy to see that our MP Kris Hopkins was fully behind the growth of manufacturers in the region and supported the Exported by Britain initiative to stimulate growth of UK companies around the world. When we help manufacturing companies supplement or even replace their overseas sales agents by bringing in online sales from around the world, Bluehoop Digital is playing its part in the growth of the region.”

Kris Hopkins also discussed the launch of the 2nd annual careers fair at Keighley City College which had been a great success, and which presented lots of opportunities for apprenticeships in the area for a wide range of sectors. “We’re fully behind employing more apprentices in our business after our first apprentice has given the business such a positive boost,” said Ian White from Bluehoop Digital. “Kris Hopkins lectured in digital marketing at Leeds University before he entered the world of politics, so we were pleased to speak to someone who understands our business needs so well.”
