Alliance Manchester Business School launches joint MBA with Chinese university
Alliance Manchester Business School (Alliance MBS) has teamed up with Renmin University of China’s School of Business (RBS) to launch a joint-MBA programme.
Through the new Global MBA, which will lead to degrees from both institutions, Alliance MBS hopes to combine its international presence and expertise in business education with RBS’ close industry links and knowledge of eastern management practices.
Prof. Elaine Ferneley, the global and MBA director at Alliance MBS, said: “This is another exciting international partnership for Alliance MBS as we strengthen our global offer.
“Our core values are about transforming people and I am confident our joint-MBA will deliver.”
She added: “The programme will give our students the opportunity to benefit from a truly international education whilst accessing unique insights into Chinese management practices.”
The programme will give students access to academics from both institutions and bring industry practitioners into the classroom. Further, those on the programme will have the chance to study in the Chinese capital, Beijing, and undertake residential workshops in one of Alliance MBS’ centres in Manchester, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and Brazil.
The dean of RBS, Prof. Jiye Mao, commented: “RBS is deeply-rooted within the local business world; we have very close engagement with the business community in China.
“We hope to leverage Alliance MBS’ global footprint and blended learning expertise to offer students a second-to-none global learning experience.”
The first students are due to enter the programme in July next year.
