Extra KLM weekday flights take off between Leeds Bradford and Amsterdam

A fourth additional weekday service between Leeds Bradford Airport and Amsterdam is set to take off day (Monday May 16th).

The new weekday service is due to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines increasing its capacity to provide an additional 25,800 seats on the route over summer 2016.

The increase in KLM frequency is as a result of strong passenger growth on the Leeds Bradford to Amsterdam route throughout last year.

Passengers using the service can depart from Leeds Bradford four times each weekday; connecting through the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport hub to more than 130 worldwide connections via KLM’s network.

The KLM flights will depart Leeds Bradford at 6:20, 9:10, 13:25 and 17:30. On the return journey, the flights depart Amsterdam at 08:25, 12:40, 16:45 and 21:10.

Tony Hallwood, aviation development director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “We’re really pleased to see this increase to the KLM schedule from Leeds Bradford.

“Our customers have been making regular use of Amsterdam route as it’s such an important key market for business travellers alongside offering fantastic connections to over a hundred worldwide destinations. We look forward to welcoming even more passengers through our doors to fly KLM from Leeds Bradford Airport.”

Warner Rootliep, general manager of Air France-KLM UK and Ireland, added: “We are delighted to introduce a frequency increase on our Leeds Bradford service to Amsterdam. We know how important connectivity is to our passengers and we are always looking at ways to provide them with the best services.”
