Yorkshire club operator reports record pre-tax profit of £4.3m
The Deltic Group, the late night bars and clubs operator, has seen business growth for the fourth consecutive year when reporting its results for the year ending 27 February 2016.
The company, which invested £1.3m in PRZYM Leeds creating 50 local jobs and also operates Kuda in York, delivered a pre-tax profit of £4.3m and an EBITDA of £13.4m.
During this financial period, Deltic has attracted more than 6.9 million visitors a year and saw pre-booked sales rise by 175% across the estate.
The company’s growth strategy has centred on refurbishing under-invested sites, recruiting sales teams in key venues to drive pre-booked sales, further diversification into the bar market and selective acquisitions.
Peter Marks, Deltic Group’s chief executive, said: “It is very heartening to report these excellent results which reflect the hard work, capital investment and imagination of everyone at Deltic.
’‘We now have the ideal platform to be the dominant late night player in each of our 58 clubs and bars. Our ability to respond to customer trends, backed by our financial firepower, gives me confidence in Deltic Group making further progress over the coming year.’’
Brett Collier, regional operations director, added: “PRYZM Leeds and Kuda York have played their part in the group’s strong trading performance. We are all about delivering memorable experiences and great nights out.
“The success of these clubs shows we understand what our customers want and we will continue to build on their attraction as vibrant and exciting late night venues.”
