Velocity Trampoline Park provides disability friendly day out

Velocity Trampoline Park is offering exclusive access for customers with disabilities including autism.

The Widnes based trampoline park, which is the largest of its kind in the North West, will offer exclusive access throughout May, June and July; whereby the park will be closed to the general public.

Taking place on the second Wednesday and last Saturday of each month, the sessions will provide unique trampolining activity in safe and fun surroundings.

Managing Director of Velocity Trampoline Park Steven Cosgrove said: “Here at Velocity Trampoline Park we like to ensure that everybody can have a good time no matter of their restrictions. For this reason, we have decided to launch a number of jump sessions whereby the park will open its doors exclusively for those with disabilities, while carers are invited to assist free of charge.

“Particularly for those of our guests with conditions such as autism, public settings can often be overwhelming due to the large crowds and noise and can certainly intimidate those who have difficulties in such situations. For parents and carers, we also know how hard it can be to source an appropriate day out for children with a disability, so we hope that our latest offering will provide a novel day out.“

The 27,000 sq. ft. trampoline park, which is a ten minute drive from The Rocket in Liverpool, is home to more than 150 trampolines, party rooms and a viewing area. The venue also caters to children’s parties, club nights, Toddler Time and Velocity Fitness, alongside weekly activities such a Dodgeball league for children, teenagers and adults to take part in.

Steven added: “Having recently celebrated World Autism Awareness Day in April, we received such a positive response from both those affected by autism and the general public alike that we decided to continue on a bi-monthly basis. The sessions take place on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, meaning that all those who wish to give it a try have a chance to come and visit us at a time that suits them best.“

Upcoming disability and autism access dates include Saturday, May 28 9-10am, Wednesday, June 15 6-7pm, Saturday, June 25 9-10am, Wednesday, July 13 6-7pm and Saturday, July 30 9-10am. Sessions are priced at £9 plus socks £2.
