Worldpay choose WebBoss as Best UK Website Product

Torquay-based business, WebBoss®, which has developed a market leading web product have been selected by the £6bn online banking gateway, Worldpay, as provider of choice for any of their global customers who want to build a new website.

Webboss®, who have been working with Worldpay for over 2 years were delighted to discover that they had been chosen, along with a $500m US company who offer a similar product, as one of only two website suppliers directly recommended by the online payment processing giant.

Kevin Wilson, MD of the Torquay harbour side family business is understandably proud of the achievement and the news that Webboss® will be promoted to over 170,000 Worldpay customers in their latest newsletter this week. Kevin says:

“This is fantastic news for us and will undoubtedly create new job opportunities in the Torquay area. Our company is expanding rapidly and has created 10 new jobs in the last 12 months and expects to double that in the coming year.”

There aren’t many high-tech businesses in Torbay which Mr. Wilson believes is mainly due to the very poor internet infrastructure in the region. He continues:

“We had to have dedicated fibre cables to the exchange installed to ensure a reliable internet connection, which is, of course, essential to a business such as ours. However, our own experience goes to show that with the right tools, creative South West tech companies can thrive and work with the biggest and best in the world.”
