24-hour fitness club set to open in Leeds following £500k investment
Anytime Fitness, the 24-hour health and fitness club, is set expand into Leeds this summer.
The £500k purpose-built facility in Moor Allerton will be open for business every day of the year.
Scheduled to open in July this year, the 24-hour gym will offer fitness facilities for up to 1,500 members.
The eight-week building programme is already underway on the 5,280 sq ft gym, which will create six new jobs and be led by general manager Graham Lilley.
Situated in the Moor Allerton Centre, the business is owned by entrepreneur Mike Racz and business partner Roland Zicska.
Racz, who also runs an Anytime Fitness facility in Gateshead as well as owning Domino’s Pizza and Costa Coffee franchises, said: “Our new Leeds facility does exactly what it says on the tin. From July, we’ll be offering 24/7 fitness in convenient and affordable state-of-the-art facilities, including cutting edge strength training and cardio equipment.
“Demand for 24-hour gyms is very much on the rise. With people leading increasingly busy lifestyles, the opportunity to fit in a work-out at any time of the day or night is now crucial. Moor Allerton is a great location.
“It’s a very much up and coming area of Leeds with plenty of local parking available, so we’re expecting to fill up membership places very quickly. In fact, we’re already taking members now.
“We’re confident those looking to keep on top of their fitness will be impressed with our facilities and prices, and we’re already on the look-out for potential locations for further Anytime Fitness venues in and around Leeds.”
Members will receive access to classes, facilities, personal trainers and access to every one of thousands of Anytime facilities across the world. There will also be private bathrooms and showers, integrated access and security, remote monitoring of surveillance systems and personal safety devices.
Anytime Fitness, which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days out of the year, operates over 3,000 franchised locations in 20 countries.
