Huddersfield’s Ringway Industrial Estate welcomes two new tenants
Two new tenants have joined the lineup at the recently-refurbished Ringway Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire.
The 6,772 sq ft Unit 1 has been let to Toolstation and the 6,215 sq ft Unit 11 to Elite Designer Fashions Ltd.
The Leeds office of property consultancy Knight Frank advised landlords CBRE Investors on the two lettings.
Tom Lamb, industrial property specialist with Knight Frank in Leeds, commented: “These are tremendous deals, involving strong tenants on 10-year leases at a healthy rental. They reflect both the excellent location of Ringway and the extensive refurbishment which has recently been carried out on the estate.
“The location of Ringway is exceptional. It is located on Beck Road adjacent to the Huddersfield Ring Road, which provides superb access both to the town centre and to Junctions 24 and 25 of the M62 Motorway at the heart of Yorkshire’s superb motorway network for both freight and commuting.
“Meanwhile the estate, an established industrial and trade counter location in the heart of Huddersfield, can accommodate various business uses. There is a healthy range of occupiers, who enjoy the green and leafy environment and who appreciate the refurbishment of the estate, which has been carried out during the past couple of years.”
Peter Evans, the associate director of Citivale, the Leeds-based property developer and asset manager, who have overseen the refurbishment, added: “The recent refurbishment of the estate, which included the £100,000 upgrade of Unit One, into which Toolstation are moving, has ensured it is a prime modern business park fit for the 21st century.
“The units, which range from 2,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft, boast high-quality accommodation, featuring offices, dedicated loading and car parking provision, set within an attractive and well-maintained landscaped environment. It is not surprising, therefore, that there is serious interest in the remaining space on the estate.
“At the moment there is about 49,000 sq ft of space let, but 37,000 sq ft of that is under offer, reflecting the popularity of the park,” added Mr Evans.
Other tenants include electrical wholesalers Newey & Eyre, Sally’s Salon and tool distributors Buck & Hickman.
