Local housebuilder scoops national considerate contractor award
Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes (DWH) North West, is celebrating winning a prestigious Considerate Constructors Award for its work at its Cuerden Heights development in Leyland.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation endorsed by local authorities and Government, to set standards and improve the image of the construction industry.
Its annual National Site Awards reward construction projects which show excellent consideration for their neighbours, their workforce, the general public and the environment.
Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.
The national award was accepted by DWH site manager, Jordan Woods, who has led the construction team at the Cuerden Heights development.
“We’re delighted to see our team’s hard work, professionalism and commitment to the local community recognised by these national awards,” said DWH Sales Director, Steve Jackson.
“Our teams across the region consistently ensure our construction sites are safe, clean, environmentally responsible and considerate to our neighbours, but this award demonstrates a standard far beyond minimum, requirements. The team at Cuerden Heights should be very proud of themselves.”
Cuerden Heights offers a range of four and five bedroom homes from £299,995.
DWH North West has recently celebrated being named as a five star housebuilder for a record seventh year in a row by the House Builders Federation (HBF) – the only national housebuilder to achieve such an accolade.
