Canadian coffee chain continues UK expansion with new London outlets
A new North American coffee brand will soon be gracing more of London’s high streets and boroughs, following the announcement that Canadian coffee brand Second Cup Coffee Company is to open up five new branches across the UK.
Of the five, three are scheduled to open in London with new branches on Putney High Street, St. Anns Shopping Centre in Harrow and on Kensington High Street, with further branches in Cardiff and Swindon.
The coffee chain, which was established in 1975 in Toronto, already has a branch on Portobello Road and comes at a time of significant global expansion for Second Cup who currently have a presence in 30 regions including the likes of Iraq, Taiwan and Qatar.
Jim Ragas, who is Chief Executive Officer and President at the coffee chain, commented that the firm is ‘very excited’ about their ‘continuous UK expansion’, which could pick up pace in the coming months as it eyes up five further UK sites and seeks more franchise opportunities nationwide.
The Putney High Street outlet is now open, with the Harrow and Kensington branches to follow shortly.
