David Wilson Homes contributes £1 million to Hoylandswaine
Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, has donated over £1 million to support local projects and community improvements in Hoylandswaine, Barnsley, as part of the successful launch of its St John’s Walk development.
The contributions have been put towards facilities in Hoylandswaine and the funding includes £851,521 going towards off-site affordable housing, £115,233 on local open spaces, £131,312 towards education in the area and school facilities, while transport donations of a transport pass per dwelling have also been made.
The funding highlights the developer’s commitment to investing in the local communities where it builds. The development was recently opened in a ceremony headed by the Mayor of Barnsley, who officially cut the ribbon at the new site. The site was also officially named by local children from Hoylandswaine Primary School.
Dan Hardcastle, Sales Manager at St John’s Walk, commented:
“As well as building new homes, it’s our aim to also support and enhance local communities, so we hope these contributions will go a long way towards improving the lives of people who live in Hoylandswaine, along with those who become residents at our recently opened development. We believe it is vital that investment continues within the area and across the whole region to make sure facilities are kept to the highest standard, and our contributions towards public spaces, education, and transport achieve exactly that.”
St John’s Walk is a beautiful countryside development of 4 and 5 bedroom homes with prices starting from £399,995.
