Crawford Healthcare becomes wound care's leading SME
Crawford Healthcare, the international advanced wound care and dermatology company, has continued to fuel its impressive growth trajectory, announcing today that it is now the UK’s fourth largest advanced wound care business*.
Based on independent market sales data compiled by IMS Health, Crawford has risen a further place since October 2015, part of a rapid eight-place rise since 2012. The news comes on the back of the Knutsford-based business winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, thanks to 30 per cent average annual growth and the establishment of a growing export business in the last three years.
Commenting on the latest market rankings, Crawford Healthcare CEO Richard Anderson said: “The extent of our unrivalled growth in less than four years is nothing short of exceptional and a triumph born of true innovation, along with employing the best people in the sector throughout our organisation. The success of our products, both in the UK and overseas, has highlighted just how willing healthcare markets are to accept disruptive technologies and transform the way healthcare is delivered.”
Now the leading SME within the UK wound care market, Crawford boasts a five per cent share behind global pharmaceutical giants, Convatec, Smith & Nephew and Molnlycke.
